About

🇨🇦 RestaurantMenus.ca is an independently maintained restaurant menu directory based in British Columbia, Canada. We’ve been online since 2012.

The idea behind the site is pretty simple: make it easier to see what restaurants are serving.

Online restaurant menus come in all kinds of formats. Some are PDFs, some are images or social media posts, and others are buried several clicks into a website. They’re not always easy to read, especially when you’re looking on your phone and just want to figure out what you feel like eating.

RestaurantMenus.ca brings that information together and organizes it into a consistent, easy-to-read format.

More than a collection of menu links

We don’t just collect links to restaurant websites. We organize menu information into individual restaurant pages so you can quickly scan what’s available without having to navigate a completely different website or menu format every time.

Our menus are designed to be easy to browse on a phone, tablet, or computer, with menu items grouped into clear sections.

We also organize restaurant and menu information so you can discover places based on what you’re actually looking for.

You can search for a specific restaurant or explore restaurants by:

    • City
    • Cuisine
    • Dish
    • Dietary options
    • What’s open now

So whether you’re looking for a restaurant you already know or wondering where you can find sushi, pizza, burgers, gluten-free options, or something else in your city, RestaurantMenus.ca is designed to help narrow it down.

    How we build our listings

RestaurantMenus.ca is independently maintained rather than being an automatically generated collection of restaurant pages.

We gather restaurant and menu information from available restaurant sources and organize it into our own structured listings. Menus are reviewed and formatted to make them easier to scan, and we add useful information such as cuisine, dishes, dietary options, hours, location details, and links to restaurant websites when available.

Restaurants change their menus regularly, so maintaining the directory is an ongoing process. We update listings as new information becomes available, and visitors and restaurant owners can also let us know when something has changed.

You’ll find menu update information on restaurant pages along with an option to report a menu that needs updating.

    Customer Favourites

On some restaurant pages you’ll see Customer Favourites.

We don’t choose these simply because an item looks good on the menu. We look at customer reviews for dishes people specifically mention and recommend.

We’re also building visitor Favourites into RestaurantMenus.ca so people can help surface the dishes they enjoy directly on the site.

    Dietary information

RestaurantMenus.ca can help you find restaurants offering different dietary options, but this information is intended for discovery rather than as a guarantee about food preparation.

Ingredients, kitchen procedures, suppliers, and cross-contact risks can change. If you have celiac disease, a food allergy, or another dietary requirement, always confirm directly with the restaurant before ordering.

Why we usually don’t show prices

RestaurantMenus.ca used to include menu prices, but restaurant pricing began changing too frequently for us to keep it reliably current.

Rather than show you a price that may no longer be correct, our menu pages now focus primarily on what a restaurant offers.

When available, we provide a link to the restaurant’s website or current menu so you can check the latest pricing directly with the restaurant.

Menu items and other restaurant details can also change, so the information on RestaurantMenus.ca should always be treated as a guide.

    Our coverage

Right now, RestaurantMenus.ca is focused on British Columbia.

We’re continuing to add restaurants and improve coverage across communities throughout the province, from larger cities such as Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey, Kelowna and Kamloops to smaller BC communities.

We hope to expand into other Canadian provinces in the future.

    Something changed?

Restaurant menus change. Restaurants move, hours change, dishes disappear, new ones get added, and websites get updated.

If you spot something on RestaurantMenus.ca that’s outdated, missing, or incorrect, please let us know. We’d rather hear about it so we can fix it.

    Want a restaurant added?

If there’s a BC restaurant you think should be on RestaurantMenus.ca, send it our way.

    If you have them, include:

    • Restaurant name
    • City and neighbourhood, if applicable
    • A menu link, photo, or PDF

You don’t need to have everything; the restaurant name and location are enough for us to take a look.

    What we’re trying to do

RestaurantMenus.ca has changed a lot since it first went online in 2012, but the basic idea hasn’t.

We want to make restaurant menus easier to find and easier to use.

That means taking menu information that’s scattered across different websites, PDFs, images, and other formats and turning it into something you can quickly search and browse, whether you already know where you want to eat or you’re still trying to decide.

Sometimes you just want to know what’s on the menu.

    Gluten-Free options

Gluten-free options are available, but preparation may involve cross-contact. Check with the restaurant if you have celiac disease or a severe sensitivity.
