Owner Melanie King first learned to make pizza as a teenager at Frieda’s Pizza in Quesnel. Then, years later, discovered an old Frieda’s Pizza sign hidden beneath the sign of the very Enderby shop she had purchased, an uncanny connection to where her pizza story began. Today, Mel’s is known for fresh-made dough, loaded specialty pizzas like the Monster and Steve’s Special, homemade sandwiches and weekly lunch specials, with seasonal produce sourced from the Enderby Farmers Market when possible. With Mel’s son James bringing culinary training back to the family kitchen and a longtime local team behind the counter, it’s the kind of small-town pizza shop that has become part of the community and one that visiting families make a point of returning to year after year.
