Restaurants in White Rock

You’ll find lots of patio-friendly spots, seafood-forward menus, cozy cafés, and classic comfort-food places; many restaurants lean into fresh, simple flavours and a “vacation town” vibe even though it’s so close to the city.

Most of the action is along Marine Drive and near the pier, where you can easily hop between coffee, ice cream, and dinner with an ocean view. Uptown (around Johnston Road and into South Surrey) adds more everyday local favourites, including family restaurants, takeout, and a wider mix of cuisines; it’s a good area if you want quieter dining away from the waterfront crowds.

Good to know: parking on the waterfront can be tight on sunny weekends, and restaurants along Marine Drive can get busy around sunset. If you’re visiting in summer, patios fill quickly and waits are common; going a bit earlier or reserving for dinner helps. The promenade is super walkable, so it’s an easy place to park once and spend a few hours exploring food spots, the beach, and the pier.
