Restaurants in Vernon

You’ll find a good spread of comfort food, breakfast spots, sushi and Asian options, pizza and pasta places, and plenty of quick takeout choices; it’s the kind of city where “regulars” matter and service tends to feel friendly and familiar.

Most of the restaurant activity clusters around a few key areas. Downtown Vernon has walkable cafés, lunch spots, and local staples; the Highway 97 corridor and nearby plazas have lots of convenient chains plus reliable casual dining. You’ll also see good options around Polson Park and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital area, and up toward Okanagan Landing and the lakeside neighbourhoods for more relaxed, scenic meals.

Good to know: Vernon is a great base for day trips, so restaurants can get busier in summer and on weekends when people are heading to or from the lakes. Parking is usually straightforward compared to bigger cities, but downtown can still fill up during events. If you’re visiting, it’s worth checking places that highlight Okanagan produce, local cider or wine, and seasonal specials; and if you’re local, takeout and “quick dinner” options are strong across the city.
